FloorPlanner to SketchUp
FloorPlanner to SketchUp is a file handoff. Paste the link of a published FloorPlanner project, or upload the .fml file you exported. The preview is free. You pay once, and we email a .dae file with walls, openings and floors in metres.
How the handoff works
Step 1
Publish the project or export .fml
Copy the share link of a published FloorPlanner project. A private project needs to be published first, or exported as .fml and uploaded.
Step 2
Read the free preview
The homepage lists the floors and rooms we found in your file. If the project has no walls, checkout stays closed.
Step 3
Pay for the model
One project is €9. A 5-pack is €39. Pro is €99 per year, with unlimited conversions. The .dae file arrives by email within 5 minutes.
Step 4
Import it in SketchUp
In SketchUp choose File → Import and select the .dae file. This works in SketchUp Go, Pro and Studio. Each floor and each room is its own group.
What comes across
- Walls with their thickness and height, door and window openings, and floor slabs, in metres from your FloorPlanner file.
- Room names become groups, one per floor and one per room, so you can hide a storey and work underneath.
- Furniture, materials and finishes stay in FloorPlanner. The SketchUp file is the building shell.
